It's a Jumping Day

Yesterday was yet another rainy Monday in these parts.

We decided to take the impromptu day at home to clean, and to clean the things that are usually glossed over until one has excess time and energy to address the issue.

First up: the two chairs in the kids' room. They are Ikea from Steve's bachelor days and have served us well in the snuggling, story reading, bottle drinking kind of way. As with anything Ikea, I'm impressed with the durability and livability of their products. Even though the chairs are white, they are one of the easiest pieces of furniture to clean because of their best feature; the slipcover.

Cutter helped me to remove all of the covers and we bleached them to remove all of the evidence of toddler wear. While they were in the wash however, Cutter declared that it was a jumping day and set up the cushions for optimal landing purposes. Aside from a few accidental bumps between the two of them, this activity kept both of my children occupied for well over twenty minutes. On a rainy Monday, this was a victory in every sense of the word, and I was able to put away their clothes (that are strewn about in the pictures) in peace, without incident.

Success.
