Bookcase: Fulfilled

My husband has been blessed with hands that work – often and well. He is a carpenter by trade and as I’ve mentioned (a few times I’m sure) has used that skill for our family’s benefit many, many times. If you remember, he designed and built this bookcase for Cutter’s nursery. Exactly what I had envisioned and hoped for (both the bookcase and my husband, that is – he’s mine, ladies, sorry).

Just recently Cutter has discovered the bookcase and has spent hours, literally, sitting in front of it looking at the books and toys that line its shelves. If we are on the blanket he will inevitably make his way over (by way of rolling or scooting) to the bookcase to check it out.

A friend of mine posted not too long ago about how her son had discovered the dresser that she and her husband had spent considerable amounts of time preparing for his nursery. I must admit I felt the same emotions of pride and joy swell in my heart when Cutter first discovered his bookcase. His Daddy made it with him in mind, and it just makes me so happy to know that he is enjoying it.
