18 months.
½ year.
Holy cow!
This girl
remains a gem; delightfully pleasant, infectious smile, gracious, and loving –
so loving.
At 18 months
Scout is:
Saying more
words – trash, duck, donut, snack, baby, chicken.
Loving to
play with her baby dolls, carrying them around, pushing them around, hugging
them.
Music remains
a great love – she throws her hands up in the air and spins around, stomps her
feet, and dances.
Quite
enjoying her bows and jewelry, necklaces especially. Pig tails are a regular occurrence
these days, and are literally the cutest thing I have ever seen. Accessories make her go wild. It's really uncanny.
Reading books
has become a new love, of which I am eternally grateful for.
Walking – in the
stroller, in the wagon, on her own – all the time. “Walk?, walk?”
Such a mommy’s
girl.
Outdoors is her favorite place of play. Running in the dirt, digging in the dirt, climbing trees, you name it. Cautious and tentative she is not.
Folding her
hands during prayer time, it’s so sweet to see her bow her head.
Arranging
animals or any figurines in a line, and then taking them down, and then putting
them back up again. Rinse, repeat x10.
Saying a great deal of animal sounds, repeated over and over. Sheep, pig, cow, and chicken are current loves.
A great
eater. Eats all the live long day, almost anything I give to her.
A big chore
helper, just like her big brother.
A stellar
sleeper. She still sleeps from 7-7 with a nap from 12:30-4. Putting her down is
a piece of cake. I hand her froggie to her, lay her down, and leave – and within
five minutes she is always asleep.
