A reminder from my blogger friend over at Ashley Brooke Designs that it is National Letter Writing and Card Month. I've written before of my great love for handwritten letters and cards and it makes me happy to know that there is a month dedicated to this lost art. Perhaps we can all try to send even one handwritten note to a loved one this month? You could even do it on stationery that Ashley designed with you in mind!
She created this beauty for us while I was pregnant with Cutter, and I used it for the thank you cards from the baby shower.

I plan on ordering some stationery with our entire family now, featuring Cutter!

“National Card and Letter Writing Month is an opportunity for all Americans to
rediscover the timeless and very personal art of letter writing,” said Postmaster General
John E. Potter. “Both in times of peace and conflict, cards and letters are the most
effective way to share and permanently record our thoughts, prayers, hopes and
dreams.”

I was actually thinking about writing a note to our dearly departed Donovan, so this may just push me over the edge.

Also, the cynic/politico in me thinks "National Letter Writing" month is a clever way for the USPS to encourage us all to use stamps and their services, hehe. :-)

In the same vein -- coincidentally it runs until Mother's Day. Hmmmmm.....
