We had a busy weekend of cleaning and doing some long-awaited updates in our bedroom. When we moved into my parent's place we (and when I say we, of course I mean my lovely hubby) did extensive work in the upstairs "wing" we would be occupying. Ripped out old carpeting, replaced with hardwood floors, painted, new fixtures, ripped out old closets and installed new ones. But up until last weekend we still had not installed doors on the closets.
We finally had a weekend at home with nice weather, so Steve took advantage of it and hit up Home Depot bright and early Saturday morning. He loves me dearly :)
Not only did he install closet doors on both of our closets, but he also replaced both bedroom doors since they really had seen some better days (thanks to both my sister and I from our childhood days of hanging poster after poster on both sides of the doors).

The doors still have to be painted but it is such a nice facelift for the room(s). Pictures still to come of the closet doors. This should complete our renovation. One benefit I've noticed already of the new doors is that it really brightens up the room, especially Cutter's room. His room sees some really nice afternoon sun and when it is shining in the windows and reflecting off of the door it makes the whole room very bright and cheery. Sunshine is the source of my energy and happiness and I am all for letting as much sunlight into a room as possible.
