Christmas is in 21 days

I love to decorate for Christmas, and even though we don't have our own house this year - I can still decorate the space that we do have! I made Jason and Steve pull out the decorations the other night (this pregnant beast can't quite carry as much as I used to!) so I could see what might work in our abbreviated living space. Surprisingly, I had quite a few things that fit the bill.

One of my favorite Christmas pieces is this sleigh that my sister gave me one year. I display the Christmas cards that we receive in it so that I can enjoy them throughout the month.

I'm still on the hunt for a small, inexpensive tree that we can display in our living room. I wasn't going to bother, but then I realized I really missed putting up a tree with at least some of our own decorations on it. I did go ahead and hang our stockings in our hallway. I can't wait to add one more to the mix next Christmas!

My friend, Tammy, gave us this Lenox Santa figurine as a wedding gift, and so I thought I'd display it next to our wedding picture. I'm willing to wager that I will love anything Lenox at Christmastime. It's the absolute best.I'm still figuring out where to display some of our other things that have special meaning to me. I love opening the storage boxes and picking up each decoration and remembering something special about it. Perhaps it's these pregnancy hormones speaking, but I am finding myself extremely sentimental this year. There are so many traditions that I am looking forward to celebrating this year. Thankfully we've already started the weekend off right. We took advantage of a local Live Nativity drive through tonight and it was really well done. They even had live goats and sheep around baby Jesus in the manger. Tomorrow, not only does the forecast call for snow, but we are planning to attend a friend's Christmas party to start the season off right. Feliz Navidad!
