Week 30 has arrived, and with it brings official pregnancy face, multiple chins, swollen lips, flabby arms, and chubby thighs. These things all sound cute on a baby, but not on a girl whose body is used to carrying around 120 pounds at the most. These extra pounds do not look well on me at all, but I'm happy Itty Bitty is growing and is healthy - that is all that matters at this point. Never in my life have my thighs actually touched one another - it is a completely foreign feeling to me - and not one I enjoy at all. I know the weight will come off (God willing!) afterwards, so for now I am trying to stay positive and focus on the benefits of added weight for the baby. Okay, I've complained enough for one day!
On the brighter side, Itty Bitty is moving around all the time now. My sister was able to feel him kick, roll, and jab the other afternoon and she was thrilled to be able to experience his movement. It was fun for me to share what I've been feeling with someone other than Steve. When Steve comes home from work and talks to me, the baby immediately responds and kicks me - it's the best feeling ever. He loves his Daddy already.
