Got a letter from the stork today, said a little Longenecker's on the way!
A few weeks ago my family threw a baby shower for Steve and I and our baby boy. Giraffes were the theme of the day (our last name is Longenecker) and true to family form, it was a splendid party replete with all of the requisite details attended to. Invitations, banners, signs, games, place settings, favors, food…the list goes on, and all were coordinated and simply spectacular.
They displayed all of the gifts which was fantastic. Many of our friends and family simply lived too far away to participate, so they sent gifts ahead of time and they were also displayed at the shower. I posted a lot of these on our picasa album, as well as a lot of other pictures from the shower. Steve came at the end of the shower and we were absolutely blown away by all of the gifts for our baby boy! We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends to not only surround us, but now to surround our child.

The shower only made me more anxious for this baby to arrive so that we can snuggle with him and cuddle with him. And of course, to show off all of his cute little outfits – baby clothes are the single most undeniably cute article of clothing ever.
After the new year it will be my daily obsession to decorate the nursery and prepare it for his arrival. The end is near!
