One hundred...

Wow, this is my 100th post, how exciting!

Itty Bitty progressing, 24 weeks

Weekend Recap:

On Friday night we volunteered at our church's Autumn Fest and were assigned to the popcorn machine for the night. Popping kernels, sprinkling salt, and scooping it into a bag quickly became second nature to us. Seeing so many of the kids in such endearing costumes led me to think about next Halloween and having our own little one to dress up! Steve had a really great time with the kids and was a professional popcorn salesman by the end of the night. Both of us were famished by the time we were finished, and so we had a delightfully unplanned date night if you will, at the diner on the way home. It was so enjoyable to have some time to ourselves to just be with each other.

Saturday I celebrated a friend's impending bundle of joy (!) with a surprise baby shower. She was genuinely surprised which was a relief to all involved, and was certainly showered with many gifts for her baby girl. I caught up with another friend from college there too - I always love to catch up with the two of them.
Isn't black slimming!? No belly showing here --

I left from there to head into the city for my best friend Emily's bachelorette party!

My friend, Dana, met me at my house and we drove into the city in a deluge for our best girl's one last single night! We had a great time (or at least as much as a pregnant girl can imbibe herself) with an Italian dinner nothing short of delectable, cocktails at Swanky Bubbles (read: this prego drank pineapple juice), and bowling at Lucky Strikes. Emily had a great time and I can't believe she will be a married woman in a mere two weeks.

The Bride to Be and I (I was so hot here!)

Today Steve and I took a nice walk at a nature preserve behind our house and the fall colors were bursting out - autumn is one of my favorite times of year (second only to summer: flip flops).
There was a lot of mud from the soaking yesterday, but we enjoyed the scenery and the calm of it all. Spending time with my husband is always rejuvenating and intoxicating at the same time. Love that man!
