Today is my little sister’s 25th birthday. I guess that makes her not so little anymore, right? We’ve always been close – just 2 years, 2 months, and 19 days apart. We’ve had our ups and downs in our relationship as any sisters do, but no matter what we’ve always been there to support one another and encourage one another. She and her husband recently moved farther north, closer to his family. This is the farthest that she and I have ever been away from each other, and truth be told it’s a daunting thing for she or I to think about (which is why we try not to as often as possible). But this year also promises to be an exciting one for her as she begins a new job, becomes an aunt to our baby, travels abroad, and literally builds her first house from the ground up. I’m excited for what is happening for her in her 25th year of life. It’s an awesome feeling to know that I’ve been with her through them all – even if I did ask my mom if we could return her when she came from the hospital. But, hey, that’s what sisters are for, right?Happy Birthday, Erin!
