7 months

It is this month that has seen tremendous changes in the baby girl we affectionately call Mox. As the milestone date has now come and gone, she has managed to make sitting on her own seem like child's play, as she has now decided she must venture into the realms of crawling and standing up. Her crib has been lowered to the lowest of lows, giving both my back and my heart aches each time I reach to pluck her from it's cocoon. She stands with assistance with shouts of glee, and just yesterday went from her knees to a sitting position of her own accord.

Slow it down, girlfriend.

She continues to amaze me with her blithe demeanor, of which I repeatedly praise the Lord for both her patience and peace-loving spirit.

At 7 months old Moxie is:

Wearing size 9 month pajamas, some summer 6-9 months
Wearing size 3 or 4 diapers during the day and size 5 at night

Sleeping
Still continuing to sleep well at night, naps vary from day to day. Typically, wake at 4:30 am to eat, back to sleep until 9 am, nap at 12:30 or 1 pm until 2 or 3, and potentially a later nap around 4 but that is a rarity these days. If she sleeps through the night (it has happened!) then she's more likely to wake with the other kids around 7 am, a nap around 9 am and then at 1 pm. Routine is still bath and bed with the big kids at 6:30 pm. Bedtime has been a bit rough this past week, but I think it's in line with development at this age. She's incredibly eager to be social and with other people, especially Steve or I. Teething may be on our horizon as well, still none to speak of at this point.

Eating
Many more new foods, including peaches, pears, homemade cereal, carrots, prunes, acorn squash, and avocados. On the docket this week are green beans, asparagus, and cottage cheese. 4-5 7 oz bottles a day, roughly every 4 hours. For breakfast we eat cereal mixed with a banana, lunch is a veggie or fruit, and dinner is a veggie and a fruit.

Firsts this month:
Meeting her cousins from Tennessee
2 visits to the zoo
