A lot has happened in this fourth month. Cutter has grown up so much in these past four weeks. We had a rough time of it about halfway through when his internal clock began to shift. We had to re-work our feeding times and nap times and for a good week there I thought that both of us were never going to stop screaming. Thankfully, he has settled into his new normal and is doing pretty well on that schedule. He has started on rice cereal and is taking to it quite well. I almost felt guilty that I had waited until now, he just seemed to take to it so naturally.
His hair on the back of his head is starting to rub off. I must admit I cried when I saw the first hair in his crib! Now that he has mastered the art of rolling over he won’t be spending as much time on his back so perhaps that will halt the momentary hair loss.
He is such a flirt and smiles are his forte. He loves his Daddy and never fails to greet him with a smile when he comes home from work, jealous much?
We had our well baby visit today and he weighed 13 pounds and had grown 2 inches. He is turning into his Daddy more and more each day, which I think Steve is very thankful for. For a while there I don’t think that Steve was able to glean one iota of his features in Cutter, however hard I tried to point them out to him. Cutter just looks a lot like me!
At four months old Cutter is:
*Wearing size 3-6 clothes
*Still in size 1 diapers during the day, size 2 at night
*Blowing raspberries and bubbles at anyone and everyone
*Starting to give some good belly laughs
*Continuing to smile (oh, that smile!)
*Rolling onto his side – and now right onto his back
*Grasping tightly to my hair and anything else he can get his hands on
*Putting his hands in his mouth CONSTANTLY
*Moving on to the Exersaucer and Johnny Jump-Up circuit
*Going to bed around 6 pm, sleeping for 9-10 hours, nursing, then back to sleep until 7 am
*Napping during the day sometimes twice, about an hour each time (we’re working on the naps)
*Nursing every 2 ½ - 3 hours and eating rice cereal twice a day
*Still loving the water
