Far be it from me to boast of my child’s uncanny knack for checking each milestone off of the list (and with gusto I might add) but for the benefit of grandparents who yearn for these updates, indulge me if you will.
At almost 7 weeks Cutter is:
-Rolling over from tummy to back
-Holding his head up for lengthy periods of time
-Following objects (namely his Grampie) across the room when they move
-Focusing much more intently on our faces
-Smiling from ear to ear, with dimple and all
-Loves looking at black and white patterns and his baby faces book
-Ooo’s and Ahh’s at us
-Loves to stand on his legs with his own strength
-Enjoys head-butting Daddy
He is growing like a weed and has moved out of his newborn clothes (this happened way too fast for me!) and is wearing mostly 0-3 size, and Carter’s 3 month size. His legs are long and his cheeks are getting chubbier by the day. I am anxious for his 2 month well baby visit to see what exactly his weight is – he has to be inching towards 10 pounds. He is beginning to sleep longer stretches at night which I am ever so thankful for. We’re averaging one “middle of the night” feeding before he wakes up for the day around 7:30 or 8. Here’s hoping in the next few weeks we can extend the sleeping at night even longer. He is truly a delight and is such a happy baby.
