The beach has a way of lulling you away to another world where no worries or anxieties exist (except in regards to over zealous and aggressive seagulls). We took many walks, ate the supreme delicacies of Mack and Manko's and Kohr's with utmost pleasure, basked in the sun's glorious rays, and even "pet" the shark fish at a local aquarium. In regards to those over zealous and aggressive seagulls, they really were a menacing presence on the beach, not only fishing through our bag for the food they knew must be in there, but hovering and screeching loudly - it was entirely reminiscent of "The Birds." One night they even swooped in and ate part of Steve's pizza as he was putting it in his mouth! To add insult to injury, on our last day on the beach Steve was christened by a seagull on his shirt. I felt as if we were being targeted by a gang of hostile seagulls. I was happy to leave them at the beach when we came home!
A friend of ours was able to come down for the day with her daughter and Steve hung out with her and they played in the sand together. He is so creative and great with kids. All week he was builiding sand castles, drippy castles, and even built a baseball stadium in the sand. I was happy he had a playmate for the day!
Until next year....

Seagulls are absolutely nuts! When I was down with some of the gals for a week in Brigantine, NJ we were constantly being hassled. We were all hiding under our umbrella as they dive bombed us! ha... crazy!

They need to be driven out to another part of the country. We prefer to call them sea rats. Yuck!
love the swimming costume, where is it from?
Thanks, Brit. I felt super 1920's. Target, my love - on end of the summer clearance.
