I had a busy, yet fabulous weekend.
On Saturday we were able to visit with my husband's father's family, including all three of his step-sisters. The two youngest had recently graduated from college and it was a great party to celebrate their accomplishments. The weather was perfect, the food delish, and the company enjoyably comforting. There have been some family issues that have been fairly constant for the past couple of years, and it was a great way to move forward from the past.
A few months ago my husband made the decision to be baptized, and this past Sunday was the day of his testimony. A lot of his family and my family were able to come, and he had the support of many friends as well. He gave his testimony and our Pastor baptized him. I couldn't hold back the tears when he gave his testimony. It was a very inspirational act and I commended him for making his commitment to the Lord public. I, myself, felt led to be baptized three years ago - before we were married. It was awesome to witness his love for the Lord in such a public venue.
His life verse is Ephesians 6: 11-13.
