It has been raining in the northeast here for way too many days for it to be considered June. Summer hasn't even started (officially) but I feel like we are in the month of April!
Officially, thus far in the month of June we have had about 4" of rain - which is 2" above average - and it is only June 20.
The forecast has rain at least through the end of this coming week - again. This past Friday we saw the sun for an afternoon and I had to shield my eyes from its rays, who are you again? Mr. Yellow Ball of Fire in the Sky?
Instead, I'll pretend I am laying on this beach in Thailand basking in all of the glory that is the sun.

I was on the way home from the shop this afternoon when I chanced upon the most beautiful double rainbow I have ever seen. This reminded me of the tv commercial comment which is the counterpoint to your lament - "no rain - no rainbows!". Every yin has a yang.
