Thank God for the sunshine today! I spent the afternoon on the back porch with both of our dogs, Mia and Donovan. It was nice to have both of them out at once. Mia amused herself by barking at the squirrels - and followed them from tree to tree. Donovan, on the other hand, was highly enthralled by the spring bugs on the porch and happily chased after them. Every once in a while I would hear his teeth chatter and I knew he had caught one. He is very easily amused.
I sat on the porch in the sun and cut, cut, cut! I was cutting up story cloths for a woman in my women's bibly study that is leaving for Thailand next Wednesday. She is part of a team of six who will be traveling there to teach some of the local Sunday School teachers new and exciting ways to engage children in Sunday School more effectively. The story cloths are an amazing tool. They have 42 panels, each depicting a scene in the Bible from Genesis on through Revelation. I am sure the children whose hands these fall into will learn many things about our great God through them!
On a thriftier note, I am always up for a good deal and am a certificable coupon nut (hence my love affair with Krazy Coupon Lady and Frugal Finds from Your Frugal Friend). I did some grocery shopping this evening at Acme and check it out! I spent $50.09 and SAVED $42.09! Gotta love coupons and sales.
